Many times when people refer to “GAMER” they refer to those hardcore players of various genres of games; however, for our site we will embrace the term gamer very loosely. In the case of this site, a gamer is anyone that enjoys playing anything. Sometimes I may feel like speaking about things outside of gaming such as television or changing trends in technology. It is my hope that you will find something that you may find interesting or helpful on this site.

Why Black Girl Gamers? I have been playing online games and beta testing various games for over a decade. At times, I found it very difficult to find other minority female players. I thought that maybe it would be a great idea to establish a place wherein I could communicate with other players that would fully understand my concerns when it came to gaming, advertising, and character customizations. Initially when I purchased the domain there were no other black girl gamer websites, Facebook pages, Tumblr accounts, YouTube videos or any such pages in existence. Today there is a bunch of pages in existence and I am happy that our community is growing very strong.
